Spicy Sizzling Tofu with Jolly Real Mayonnaise
April 11, 2015It's always fun and pleasurable to join Mommy Bloggers Philippines' recipe sharing so I made sure to join again this time. The star ingredient that should be used was Jolly Real Mayonnaise.
I didn't have an experience using this mayonnaise before. I was confined to using only two of the most popular brands in the country ever since I learned how to cook.
I'm fond of using Fly Ace Corporation's products in most of my recipes. I didn't go wrong when I added Jolly Real Mayonnaise to my entry dish. It became more appetizing and yummy! It was worth trying!
It's true that Jolly Real Mayonnaise can make our favorite dishes richer because this thick and creamy mayonnaise is made from the finest eggs and oil for that authentic mayonnaise taste and texture we love.
It can create zestier salad dressings, tastier sandwiches, creamier dishes, and even the yummiest desserts! Jolly Real Mayonnaise is sure to bring out the most amazing flavors from our favorite dishes.
Moving on to my dish, at first I thought of making sandwiches or salads. Not until I saw the sizzling plate that my best friend gave me last Christmas. It gave me an idea to make an easy sizzling tofu, a healthier alternative or subsitute to pork sisig. To add a little kick on it, I put chillies. So I called it SPICY SIZZLING TOFU.
Here's how to cook it:
Ingredients
500 grams tofu, cut into small cubes
2 cloves garlic, minced

1 piece medium red onion, minced
1 piece siling labuyo
1 piece long green chili
Jolly Real Mayonnaise

Jolly Real Mayonnaise
liquid seasoning
1 piece egg
2 pieces calamansi
1 piece egg
2 pieces calamansi
palm oil or butter for frying
1/2 teaspoon spring onions, minced
Procedure
1. Fry tofu cubes until golden brown. Don't forget to preheat the sizzling plate while frying the tofu to save time.
2. In the same oil or butter sauté onion and garlic. Add fried tofu and half of the chillies. Mix well.
3. Add liquid seasoning according to taste.
4. Turn-off the heat. Add 11/2 to 2 tablespoons of Jolly Real Mayonnaise and mix well.
5. Brush oil or butter on the sizzling plate and make a bed of Jolly Real Mayonnaise. Put the cooked tofu on top.
6. Add egg on the side and top the dish with the remaining chillies and spring onions. You may drizzle it with some Jolly Mayonnaise if you wish.
This dish is also perfect for vegetarians. If you're not fond of eating spicy food, you may skip with adding chillies.
