Three weeks ago, Kuya and I were so stressed due to our own responsibilities. It's been a while since we had our last mother and son date. We decided to go to the mall just to have fun together while we left Papa and Bunso at home having their own bonding moment.

We seldom go to the mall. We just go there to dine out or when we need to buy something. Before leaving home, I said to myself that I would buy something for myself that I really, really deserved.

When I'd say giving myself a gift, it would mean that I should buy something to beautify myself and that time, I thought of LIPSTICK!

Of course, our destination was Watsons. Kuya and I went straight to the Ever Bilena Cosmetics rack. I was hearing raves about this local brand that made me purchase its Color Pencil Duo in Black and Brown last month which I used on my eyes on the photos below. I would do a separate review on that.

Back to lipstick buying, I asked for assistance because I didn't want to buy matte. Based on experience, without the aid of lip balm, it could make my lips look wrinkled and very dry. I wanted a lipstick that would keep my lips moisturized, not too shiny, and with soft matte or satin finish.

I have fair skin color and warm skin tone. The natural color of my lips is MEDIUM and I've learned from Bobby Brown Makeup Manual that the lipstick shades that suit me are BROWN, ROSE, PINK, ORANGE, and WARM RED. (You may see on my Instagram photo that 706 is ORANGE-BROWN while 710 is PEACH-BROWN.)

They are cased in sleek durable tin tubes with transparent acrylic lids that are easy to slip on the pocket or small purse.
