My Version of Kikay Mommy Sha's Asian Baked Chicken
August 28, 2014
My family was tired of eating my healthy fried chicken and I couldn't think of something to prepare for breakfast and baon. Lucky me! I was able to see Mommy Sha's Asian Baked Chicken on Mommy Bloggers Philippines Closed Group Page. I had most of the ingredients on hand and I cooked it right away!
Here are the ingredients and procedure as seen on Kikay Mommy Sha's article, KMS Cooks: Asian Baked Chicken.
Ingredients
3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
3 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1/2 kilo chicken
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Salt and Pepper
Procedure
1. Wash chicken, pat completely before you marinate them.
2. In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Season it with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Marinate overnight.
3. Fry, bbq, or bake it. If you’re frying it, simply fry it in medium heat and fry until it turns golden brown. But if you want to bake it, simply bake the chicken at 250 celsius for 30-40mins or until it turns golden brown.
4. Smile and serve with piping hot rice!
My Version
I used 1 kilo chicken breast so I doubled all the ingredients except salt. I used 2 packs of Ajinomoto Ginisa Flavor Mix instead. Then I put liberal amounts of onion powder and about 1 tablespoon of minced garlic (There was no garlic powder at home.). I used less oil in fying the marinated chicken.

I named my version Asian Fried Chicken because obviously I didn't bake it. Lol!This dish is best served with hot steamed rice and chopped spring onions! So yummy! |
Mommy Sha's recipe was so delicious! My boys kept on asking for more! I felt accomplished after cooking and serving this!
