Papa's Maski-Paps Stir Fry Pork & Veggies
September 13, 2014
All-Around Papa was around last weekend and I took the opportunity to rest from doing chores in the kitchen! After all, he always claims that he is the king of the kitchen! Alright, keep on bragging! It's an advantage on my part!
I must say that he never fails to prove that he is indeed better when in comes to inventing recipes. Despite not being capable to go to the supermarket that day, he was able to cook a very simple but delectable stir fry dish that made me eat more and feel satisfied. No wonder that when I attended the homeschooling conference, one of the exhibitors thought that I was pregnant. Kaloka!
I told Papa that I would share the recipe and asked him what name to give it. He said just call it "Maski-Paps", a short cut for "maski paano" in Filipino which means "come what may" in English. Why? Because he just combined all the ingredients available in the refrigerator without knowing how the finished product would taste like.
In doing this easy and yummy recipe, you just need SEVEN ingredients:
1/4 kilo GROUND PORK
1/4 cup of WATER
1 big RED ONION (sliced thinly)
2 stalks LEEKS (sliced thinly)
10 STRING BEANS (sliced into small pieces)
60 grams OYSTER SAUCE
1/2 sachet of AJINOMOTO PORKSAVOR ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING POWDER
Procedure
1. Boil ground pork in 1/4 cup of water until its oil comes out.
2. Fry ground pork on its own oil until golden brown. Set aside.
3. On the pork's oil, add string beans. Stir fry for two to three minutes.
4. Add onion leeks. Stir fry for a minute. Then put pork, oyster sauce, and 1/2 sachet of Ajinomoto Porksavor All-in-One Seasoning Powder. Stir fry for another minute.
5. Serve as a rice topping and/or paired with fried fish or tofu. Enjoy!
"I always cook rice
when I’m making stir fry, because it complements the meal and gives
your veggies and meat a nice bed to sit on. But, if you have no rice
available, you will be just fine without it."
