SIXINCH Philippines: Combining Art, Functionality, and Foam Technology

Papa and Kuya's visit at Uratex Philippines Premium Mattress Gallery in Ronac Art Center, Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan City, led them to feast with their senses on its latest product line, SIXINCH.

SIXINCH is a foam powerhouse founded in Belgium in 2003 by Pieter Jamart and Michel Sels. They believe that foam can be used to develop creative and functional designs to bring zest and extraordinary look in the conventional office, home, and other spaces aside from using it to make sofas and mattresses.

The name SIXINCH is derived from the six inches trapped between our ears, where lies the capacity of the brain to unleash its capability to create an innovative and functional work space that is beyond our imagination.

Mr. Bigboy Cheng, owner and curator of SIXINCH Philippines, Inc. aims to bring to the Filipinos the comfort of foam technology combined with furniture artistry, creativity, and functionality.

Without further ado, let me show you the SIXINCH furniture line that my boys saw:

Foam technology and paints, both nude and bright colors, can make an ambience of simplicity and class to any space.

They can be used indoors and outdoors without the worry of absorbing water. They are low maintenance because they are waterproof and easy to clean. Wiping them with a damp cloth or washing them with soap and water is enough to keep them in good condition.

As you can see, they all look like pieces of heavy, solid, and bulky furniture but they are not. Even Kuya, who's only 11 years old, can lift and carry them all! These beauties are made from light high density foam and normal fabric and upholstery that becomes flexible, seamless, and  waterproof due to the application of a unique flexible coating. 

 

SIXINCH Philippines aims to  help clients express their creativity through unique furniture customization. They can mix and match pieces according to their taste and personality. The company is also tapping and encouraging Filipino designers to create unique pieces to bring the art of furniture-making in the country to the highest level.
