The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson is one of my favorite books.
It speaks of a prayer so simple but powerful, that it can change your
perspective of the way you talk to God and ask for more blessings,
prosperity, guidance, and protection.
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.’ And God granted his request” (1 Chronicles 4:9-10).
It says that we should ask God what
we really want because if not, that gift/blessing will be kept wrapped
in heaven. God will only give us something that we want.
We should also pray for victory and prosperity in all our endeavors so that our life would be marked by increase.
Praying
for God's guidance will give as a better direction and good
decision-making while praying for HIS protection will keep us away from
harm.
Try praying this everyday and you will see the difference.
